Short Preview — Welding Workshop with Junior Achievement

A quick look at the Junior Achievement welding workshop

D'Angelo Marine recently hosted welding workshops for Junior Achievement of South Florida. These recent graduates have chosen to pursue careers in the marine industry and are now getting a first-hand look at the trades it has to offer.

After a quick safety briefing, the graduates got to work.

Welder Stanley Sherwin and master fabricator Keenan Maines led a quick lesson on how to tack two pieces of metal together. Production manager Camilo Aguilar then walked the group through fully welding their pieces on our automated welding cobot.

Thanks to the prep work from Junior Achievement, everyone showed up sharp, curious, and engaged — and laid down some surprisingly clean welds for a first attempt.
