Welding Workshop — Junior Achievement of South Florida

Hosting the next generation of marine industry talent

D'Angelo Marine recently had the pleasure of hosting welding workshops for Junior Achievement of South Florida. These recent graduates have chosen to pursue careers in the marine industry and got a first-hand look at the trades it has to offer.

After a quick safety briefing, the graduates got to work.

Welder Stanley Sherwin and master fabricator Keenan Maines walked the group through tacking two pieces of metal together. Production manager Camilo Aguilar then taught them how to fully weld their tacked pieces on our automated welding cobot.

Thanks to the lessons learned at Junior Achievement, every graduate showed up prepared, curious, and engaged — and did some pretty good welding for a first time out. The future of the marine industry is looking bright.
